About our panelists:
Ellen Sherman is a visual artist working in Ann Arbor, MI. Ellen graduated from Michigan State University in 2008 with a BFA in Studio Art and moved to Miami, Florida where she worked as Lead Artist/Art Director for a mobile game studio. After a few years of working on many award winning titles, she left her position in 2011 to focus on her own art full time. In 2017 she and her husband moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where she has since set up her studio and small gallery space. Ellen’s work can be found in galleries and collections in the US, Canada, Japan, Greece, and the Netherlands.
Dorota Coy is the co-founder of ArtClvb, a platform created by artists, for artists, to connect the art community through technology and in-person events. ArtClvb’s mission is to foster meaningful connections between artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts, offering a direct way to discover and purchase art from emerging to mid career artists. Dorota also works collaboratively with her husband Steve Coy as a husband and wife conceptual and visual artist duo. They produce public art that ranges in mediums, including the “found object,” and often combines technology to create unique experiences.
Jessica Tenbusch is a curator, artist, and illustrator working in Ypsilanti MI. She has curated shows for ArtClvb, River House Arts (OH), Ann Arbor Arts Center (MI), and Hatch Arts (MI). Jessica’s work is inspired by the plants and animals that live near and with humans in the suburban/urban landscape. She explores how these complex inter-species relationships shape her as a human animal. Creating works on paper using drawing and cut paper forms, she reflects on our role as ecosystem builders and destroyers.
