Reflecting on 2024

This past year was a year of growth at Bamboo.

We became regional: serving Detroit, Ann Arbor and Royal Oak.

‍

Bamboo's community hubs stayed busy. We hosted 352 events. That's nearly an event every single day at Bamboo. We grew to nearly 1,400 members, while building bridges between major Michigan markets for innovation.

We received a special honor from the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce as Business of the Year for our impact in the community.

‍

Each year we look to improve the ways we serve you as we scaled our offerings. We continue to dedicate our efforts to supporting founders and creators. As we head into 2025, we are planning for more speakers, investors, and partners that support your journey. It will be a year of alignment and co-creation. We are also welcoming in a new class of folks tired of working in isolation, exploring or moving to Michigan's great cities, building companies, and making an impact together.

Here's a recap of several of our team's favorite moments together and some plans ahead for 2025. We'll see you already this month for meetups, gatherings, and events to inspire you to start your New Year with support and inspiration again.

Looking Back: In Royal Oak, our space is always bustling, a hub of energy for networking and creativity.

Looking Ahead: We're adding evening programming for the first time with Open Houses, Evening Co-working Nights for the side-hustlers and night shifters!

Looking Back: In Ann Arbor, we opened our doors just last April and already hosted nearly 100 events and serve nearly 200 members.

‍

‍Looking Ahead: We'll be hosting more special programs along with creative jams, meetups, VC Cafe, and more.

Looking Back: In Detroit, we collaborated with major Detroit events, including the NFL Draft, which was a team highlight of the year, and wrapped up a second year of Tech Tuesdays. We served on the board of Michigan Tech Week hosting special sessions for female founders and finding a co-founder that led to several successful matches.

Looking Ahead: We're bringing in new partners for office hours, hosting product demo's for members, and bringing back more meetups for members to network in 2025 together.
